IntipSeleb – Nominasi Golden Globe Awards 2021 akhirnya resmi diumumkan. 78th Golden Globe Awards ini direncanakan akan digelar pada 28 Februari 2021 mendatang. Ajang yang memberikan penghargaan untuk film dan drama Hollywood ini telah ditunda lebih dari 2 bulan karena pandemi COVID-19.
Ajang Golden Globe Awards 2021 ini tampil berbeda karena akan menggunakan dua lokasi yang tidak sama. Aktris Tina Fey, dipercayakan menjadi pembawa acara di The Rainbow Room di Rockefeller Center di New York City. Sementara, Amy Poehler menjadi presenter dari Beverly Hilton di Beverly hills, California, tempat Golden Globes biasa dilangsungkan.
Tina Fey dan Amy Poehler telah empat kali menjadi presenter dari Golden Globe Awards mulai dari tahun 2013, 2014, 2015, dan 2021. Keduanya dianggap sebagai sosok yang lucu dan cocok membawakan Golden Globe Awards 2021.
"NBC telah lama menjadi rumah bagi dua orang terlucu di planet ini, Tina Fey dan Amy Poehler. Dan kami tidak ingin menunggu lebih lama lagi untuk berbagi kabar baik bahwa mereka akan menjadi host Globe sekali lagi," kata Ketua NBC Entertainment Paul Telegdy dilansir dari NBC pada 3 Februari 2021.
Golden Globe Awards 2021 akan memberikan trofi Cecil B. DeMille untuk aktris senior Jane Fonda dan Norman Lear akan diberikan Carol Burnett Award. Kedua aktris dan aktor senior ini telah memberikan kontribusi terbaik di dunia akting sepanjang tahun ini.
Golden Globe Awards 2021 akan disiarkan secara langsung melalui stasiun TV NBC pada Minggu, 28 Februari 2021 pukul 17.00 waktu setempat. Namun sayang, Golden Globe Awards 2021 belum membocorkan detail mengenai tema atau pertunjukan yang akan digelar di tengah pandemi virus corona.
Film dan serial Netflix mendominasi Golden Globe Awards 2021 dengan mencatatkan namanya di 22 nominasi. Serial The Queen’s Gambit (dibintangi Anna Taylor-Joy) hingga The Crown merajai daftar penghargaan. Mendiang Chadwick Boseman masuk satu nominasi yakni Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama berkat film Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
